PLAY SOCCER MAKE PEACE

Play Football Make Peace (Soccer in North America) envisions a series of local, regional, and national soccer tournaments eventually leading to worldwide youth tournaments. PFMP is currently participating in plans for a global Youth Peace Cup to be held every two years. These tournaments will be notable for the quality of the soccer but equally important, for the quality of the sportsmanship, cooperation, communication and friendship that they generate.

The Canada Peace Festival was home to a Play Football Make Peace tournament in the Ottawa-Montreal area in late September and early October 2008. The tournament was based on the following principles:

• Develop Excellence
• Build Teamwork
• Create Excitement
