What is the Canada Peace Festival?
The Canada Peace Festival is an expression of the universal human aspiration for a world of lasting peace. This festival promotes and celebrates persons and programs that contribute to reconciliation, mutual respect, harmony and cooperation among the members of the whole human family. In partnership with a variety of faith-based organizations, secular NGOs, government agencies, educational institutions, and representatives of the private sector, the Canada Peace Festival features four activities:
- The Canada Leadership Conference
- Inter-faith Service Program
- Play Soccer Make Peace
- Peace Awards Gala

The Canada Peace Festival is hosted by The Canada Peace Council (CPC) of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF). UPF is a network of individuals, organizations and Ambassadors for Peace committed to all aspects of peace through dialogue, education, and service. Through its branches in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal the CPC brings civil society solutions to critical local and global problems. Leadership Conferences, as a pillar of the Canada Peace Festival, make a significant contribution toward building a world of lasting peace.
